I was watching TV – the 6 O’Clock News – most of it was bad, but the worst was about AIG. Something about the bigwigs getting bonus checks. This is all after AIG (which does not mean All Is Good) was bailed out. It goes to show no matter how horrid things are when people make faulty decisions in a corrupt system then things have to change. Maybe the white-collars ought to let the blue-collars call the shots.

I drove over to my aunt’s house in South Philadelphia to help carry something down the cellar. When I got there a neighbor was already helping out. As Felix and I were going up and down the stairs I couldn’t help notice his resemblance to the character in “Blue Collar Shuffle.” The only difference was that Dave had a job, where Felix lost his job, and even though he now had time on his hands, he was like a lot of once hard working people- still wanting to work – still wanting to do their share.
